Roger Harlan is Earl Harlan's son. He has no memories of his life before he suddenly appeared.
Roger attends Night Vale Elementary School where he is in Ms. Blackwell's class. He has adult-level reading and math skills, so Earl says he's trying to get Roger more advanced material.[1] Roger gets along with most kids in school, but some bully him.[1] He has friends he hangs out with outside of school.[2]
Every night he sneaks out and wanders the streets of Night Vale. The Hooded Figures don't acknowledge him.[1]
Physical Appearance[]
Roger looks to be about 8-9 years old[1] but Earl says he's 11.[3] These two episodes were posted in the same year, so it's unclear if Roger looks younger than he is or if this is a product of Night Vale's weird time.
His skin is grayish and decaying. He is nearly transparent. Apparently he looks identical to Earl when he was young.[1]
